NBC Bay Area: California Live visits the Terror Vault

Peaches Christ takes Ross Thomas of CA Live on a private tour through a small part of The Immortal Reckoning. It was enough for Ross, who went full “ninja” and said the hair was standing up on the back of his neck. He really needed a drink… and luckily the Fang Bang Bar was right there.

NBC Bay Area: California Live gets a vampire cooking lesson

After the tour of The Immortal Reckoning, Ross Thomas was a bit shaken. Peaches Christ takes him to the Fang Bang Vampire Bar for a bracing O-Negative Margarita. Then she goes all “Martha Stewart” and shares her favorite recipe for making fake vegan blood from ingredients you can find your own kitchen.

ABC7: Proof the SF Mint is Haunted!

Reggie Aqui on Midday Live is excited about the new haunted supernatural adventure happening at the San Francisco Mint. Knowing that the production company had two years to build it, he expects The Immortal Reckoning to really deliver. While he interviews Peaches Christ, who is live at the Mint, something strange happens…and it’s not about that “thing” in her hair.

KTVU: Peaches Christ on KTVU Fox 2 talking Terror Vault 2021!

Allie Rasmus opens with “Eeek. Just reading the description and seeing the video made my heart rate go up!” Peaches Christ was delighted to hear that and goes on to explain how this entirely new immersive experience is part haunted house and part theater, bringing the guests into a scary, yet funny and campy, 4th paranormal dimension. And yes, the Mint itself, which is believed to be haunted, inspired some of the spookiness.

Horror Buzz: Get Fang Banged at Terror Vault’s The Immortal Reckoning

"The Immortal Reckoning is a top-tier haunted attraction. You can tell everyone worked hard to put this production together, from the committed actors in unique make-up to the realistic, cinematic sets. The special twist at the end of The Immortal Reckoning confirmed my thoughts throughout the experience; this haunt was put together by die-hard fans of horror and haunts. They know what they’re doing.”

SF Examiner: Live theater is back with a vengeance

Jean Schiffman thinks there is no better way to celebrate Hallowe’en than at The Immortal Reckoning, “a theatrical haunted-house-on-steroids.”

“Be prepared for a totally unsettling, guided walkabout of several floors in the San Francisco Mint, through dark and narrow passageways and creepy chambers, up and down seemingly endless staircases. Horror is guaranteed — this event is not for kids, or the faint of heart.”

San Francisco Chronicle: San Francisco's 'Immortal Reckoning' makes it feel good to be scared again | Datebook

“There are many genuine scares throughout ….fake gore abounds in many scenes, and the creepiness of the design and storytelling hangs like ectoplasm over the 45-minute experience. There are monsters, mad nuns and human sacrifice. But for all the obvious love the team has for the haunted house genre, it’s clear they’re not afraid to poke fun at horror cliches.'“

“Housed within neon-lit rooms in the dungeon-like space, a new bar, the Fang Bang, has opened. Its crowd is unusual: undead (but friendly) club kids just dying to get to know you.”

SFGATE: You can go inside 'the catacombs' of one of San Francisco's most historic buildings

On a recent Wednesday night, Amanda Bartlett dared to brave the Terror Vault’s new 2021 attraction The Immortal Reckoning and found that everything had changed. It now has crystal chandeliers, plush vintage couches, disco lights, evils nuns, and scantily clad vampires.

She notes how the theatrical sets and the new Fang Bang bar draw inspiration from bygone San Francisco clubs, as well as the Folsom Street Fair and the Lusty Lady underground peep show.

Start with cocktails at a goth club—then stumble into terror beneath the Old Mint, at Into the Dark's latest immersive screamfest.

“…a gleefully problematic melange that twists various mythic traditions from the world over…we have blood-spattered wallpaper, a cult devoted to an evil rabbit deity, and what might be called the Incineration of St. Sebastian, all set to Siouxsie and the Banshees.”

“It’s tongue-in-cheek, of course, but also really, really scary.”
